Work- U get RAPED, SHAFTED, SCREWED, AIDS and SHIT

Letter I received from my friend
Dear employees,
Due to the current financial situation caused by the slowdown of economy, Management has decided to implement a scheme to put workers of 40 years of age and above on early retirement. This scheme will be known as RAPE (Retire Aged People Early).
Persons selected to be RAPED can apply to management to be eligible for the SHAFT scheme (Special Help After Forced Termination). Persons who have been RAPED and SHAFTED will be reviewed under the SCREW program (Scheme Covering Retired Early Workers). A person may be RAPED once, SHAFTED twice and SCREWED as many times as Management deems appropriate.
Persons who have been RAPED can only get AIDS (Additional Income for Dependants & Spouse) or HERPES (Half Earnings for Retired Personnel Early Severance). Obviously persons who have AIDS or HERPES will not be SHAFTED or SCREWED any further by Management.
Persons who are not RAPED and are staying on will receive as much SHIT (Special High Intensity Training) as possible. Management has always prided itself on the amount of SHIT it gives employees. Should you feel that you do not receive enough SHIT, please bring to the attention of your Supervisor. They have been trained to give you all the SHIT you can handle.

Enjoy the Holidays!

Sincerely,
The Management

I'm stoked!

I'm so stoked!
It's a Friday night and i'm sitting here buzzing in anticipation for an early Saturday morning (8.30am arrival on site no less)
I will be joining in a trial run of a "Business Continuity Plan", the contingency plan for big organizations when shit hits the fan in the main office. You have a backup office so that most if not at least core functions of the business can keep on running at an alternate site.
I'm so excited I'm so excited!

LIKE HELL I AM!
FARKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
it's my FRIDAYYYYYY
I wanna sleep in on a bloody SATURDAYYY!
but nooooo!
I have to wake up at least at bloody 7.30am to attend this crap that probably will never ever end up being utilized!
I mean, come on,I really don't see terrorists jackin an airasia plane and making a beeline for my headquarters, or on a smaller scale, a fire outbreak over the weekend coz of faulty wiring/short circuits.
oh,wait, that kinda thing sorta did happen to me before.
When I was in Form 1, Secondary school, my block got burnt coz the library air con short circuited overnight.
Can you say FREE HOLIDAY?
YEAHHHHHHHHHHH!
but then, the school displayed unbeknown efficiency to get the kids back into school (likely so we don't fill our time at the shopping malls, mixing up with the wrong crowd, running drugs, running pimping business, weapons and in general, contributing to the moral decline of the nation.
Damn the one time you'd curse one's schools' efficiency it turns out to be just a day or 2 of getting alternate classrooms set up for us First Formers.

sorry folks,just venting a lil'
tell u more tmrw after I drag my soul through a saturday morning.

pow pow!

O   M   F   G   !
I'll cut a long story short
I went frickin gun shooting on sunday!
a real gun!
 a glock 19! I feel like a terrorist with 800 bucks starting money right now!(that's a counter-strike reference btw)
and feel real badass now. and when a van cut off my sis on the way to dinner with me parents, our car (me,sis and her bf) were like "yo,you wanna mess with us?we just busted a few rounds back there. U wanna go man?, go show em' your way accurate shooting gea!)
my sis, btw, kicked our asses at shooting.pretty much kept everything around the middle of the target.
but the instructor told us that females are proven to be better shooters.so she had a genetic advantage.pffff
i did alright i guess.but it got tiring in the end, and i can't describe to you guys the adrenaline rush that comes with holding a frickin gun and popping off a few rounds!

that shit in movies, where the hero just unloads his pistol like it ain't nothing?
BULLSHIT
the recoil is bad enough for you to not aim that well.
and our instructor said that dual weilding usually ends up with you pulling the trigger on both guns at the same time (thought you'd go all alternating fire with each gun ala counterstrike dual berettas right?not happening. it's something most humans have. i think it's called something like pairing motor reflexes or some shit like that.i know i go the name wrong. can someone tell me what is it?)
Why is it good to know?
well, don't dig your nose with one hand and hold the gun with finger on trigger in the other.shit WILL happen.

here's something to do
go google the 4 universal rules of handling a gun.
and you can even see it in a frickin magic trick here!

Friday Night Lights,GPS and Handheld puppets

Today I'd like to have a go at 2 completely separate subjects that have completely nothing to do with each other.

Friday Night
Met up with my ex-colleagues last week to celebrate the much belated house warming of Jo's spanking new house in a not-so-spanking-new neighbourhood.
Where is it?Good ol' SS2 near the Taman Sea School.

Of course,Friday's are the best time to do a bbq for ones' housewarming, but boy,did I have a bit of a bothersome Friday. Lately,it seems that doodoo has been happening on a Friday, but that did not deter me from pulling through to evening to finally embark on the adventure that is "Find Jo's House"
Ok,so my knowledge of PJ ain't the best, and frankly, it has been QUITE a while since I have used the LDP or even ventured into SS2, apart from one time I think this year where I went to the Fatty Crab(which,if u ask me,is kinda "meh". I have tasted better at lower prices.but that is another story altogether)

So I pick up jolly Farizzah from Dataran Maybank in Bangsar, and head on off towards SS2, where I was DAMN sure you take the non-TTDI tollbooth on the Sprint highway.Yeah, I nailed that bit
But then..this is when problems started.
To put the story short, we got lost(well,I kinda thought that the Taman Bahagia Station was AFTER Kelana Jaya.Guess I was wrong.Sorry Farizzah)
I need a GPS

We arrived about an hour and a half late.
But no worries, I brought JAEGERMEISTER and REDBULL!WOOTTTT!
Unfortunately...my ex colleagues never shared a shred of my enthusiasm.sigh....
I am now left with 5 cans of Redbull and 1 nearly full bottle of Jaegermeister

BBQ verdict:
self toasted garlic bread is awesome
not everyone eats chicken wings (It is against my beliefs and my religion.someone ask me what my religion is)
we'll have pizza and sandwiches next bbq(perhaps at Peter's?)
don't bring Jaegermeister and Redbull

and on a seperate note
Have any of you lot played with hand puppets before?
You know, those which you could DIY with a sock, some sewing materials, buttons and whatnot, or to the more elaborate off-the-shelf store bought ones.
I did play with a couple of them when I was a kid. A koala and a wombat. guess where they came from?

Anyhoo, my mom was showing me a new hand puppet she bought from her travels from somewhere. It was a frog that could be turned inside out when you kiss it to becomee....a Prince!
Technology these days.
And my mom had to end her presentation with, "would you like to stick your hand up the Prince's arse?"
Her words, not mine:)

Long live the handheld puppets

My Deepest Fear

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone, and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Marianne Williamson

"Me,be the best you can be
Me,you have always had the potential
Me,you have made a promise to yourself to be more than you can be
Me,how can you fail if you have not started?
Me,there is more to this life than going through the motions
Me,he who thinks he cannot, will not
Me,he who thinks he might be able to,will
Me,there are people out there that need a little light in their lives.
Me,start by helping the ones near you first
Me,you will be the light that shines the way for others to sparkle
Me,always have faith in yourself, even though you are no man of faith

Me,let's begin"

Halloween Trickin and Treating oh yeah!

Woots Halloween!Zouk Club KL!
Halloween at Zouk for a bit of work related stuff(yeap,American Express supported the good ol' Halloween bash at Zouk Club yesterday, and boy did people turn out in droves!
when it started getting packed,it REALLY GOT PACKED!
around peak time, at say 11,the lines were pretty messed up,and the bouncers were kinda stressed.
Thanks to those idiots who just wanna go in first coz they on guestlists and stuff. Line The Fuck UP!
Bumped into some familiar faces which I haven't seen in ages (and a few since high-school)

After alot of getting friends and cardmembers in(i was working, remember) it was time to finally have some fun!

To ARISTO!
I had me my first Jaeger Bomb (spelling?) and lets just say I found it pretty awesome.
I think I would suggest this at all parties (bbq's house-warmings etc) from now on. In fact......this Friday...there's a house-warming coming up...
After 2 jaegers and a vodka lime in Aristo, lotsa smack talking with friends and colleagues (yeap, the same faggots I see for 5 days a week, I manage to see for a 6th day in a week.Fark)
it was time to hit the dance floor in Velvet!
By the way, Aristo is pretty quiet. Guess they're gonna do something about it to get more people in.

To VELVET UNDERGROUND!
Anyhoo,Velvet was SO DAMN PACKED!
Reminds me of the dance floors of the Malaysian Nights I went to back in Sydney (those were pretty awesome. after a couple of shots of whatever, you really start buzzing and your feet and hands get light and you can really   rock the music. at least, that's what I think I was doing)
Back to Velvet, joined Azzy's friends on the dance floor, but didn't get to do much dancing. After say 20 mins and a bit of moving in one spot (and getting shoved by some big jerk who kept backing into me,ASS!) boy was I thirsty! so me and Eugene goes out to get a drink at Terrace Bar
Mana tau...the place is packed enough for the bouncers to tell us, if u go out, I don't think u coming back in son
Crap..
So back to Velvet and got ourselves a beer each (damn barman didn't give me back my change. may you be infested with a thousand flies and get stomped on by a random passing by camel)
Now I think that beer pushed me a bit over the top coz I was swaying a little when I walked, and after an unsuccessful search for Azzy and her friend's, FUCK IT(by Eamon) outside for some fresh air.

From that point on,it was pretty much no more back into the club, and I just spent my time chillin outside catching up with some old familiar faces and some new ones. You do tend to meet quite a few acquaintances at big social bashes such as this.

To TERRACE BAR!(and the petering down of the night)
Since I ain't going back to the club, just sobered up at Terrace Bar with Eugene and a new friend, Mu(i think that's how her nickname was spelled) while waiting for Azzy and her friend's to finish up.
In the end, only when the club signalled the end of the night (when the lights come on) did we start to go home and that was around 4am already methinks.

To Home!
by the time I i dropped Eugene off after some good ol' supper and drove my ass home and took a shower..it was frickin 6ish already!i think it was the break of dawn by the time i closed my eyelids...phew!

The Aftermath
I properly awoke at 4pm.
But not before another faggoty colleague (Nicholas Chan Thiam Hock)who didn't join the party gave me a wake up call at 12.seriously man...that wasn't good.
Guess wat, I missed my sunday futsal session. Sorry guys, too wasted. BUT there was field football at 6.30 with Eugene! woots! lets just say,it was pretty good, and I need to practice a hell lot more. damn the ball is bouncy.
I am exhausted now,so I will slowly slip away into slumber with a sleeping aid, which is watching Bolton vs Liverpool (happening right now peeps)

Adios!

Midweek Funnies and illegal immigrants

Yeaps,it's gonna be Wednesday, the middle of the working week.3 days to go to the oh so lovely sleep-in-till late sat-uhh-day

Why Harry Potter is much better than Twilight is highlighted by this dumbass question.

Jokes aside,I had a pretty awesome weekend with me pals, and a BONUS pal who I haven't seen in a while(balik coz visa expiring..ahahaha.lest he be deported)

On Saturday,I had me some good food at Starhill Gallery. For those not in the know, they have a 3-6pm promotion where a few places like Shook!, the Korean place and the Chinese place have a special menu with most items retailing at RM3.60.Yes,you saw right, Starhill,Shook!,RM3.60 a dish.
Of course, don't expect the dishes to be large enough to feed the Weasley Twins. But order enough, and you'll soon find yourself quite stuffed.I have tried both Shook! and the Chinese place, and I found the menu to be quite decent.Grab the sausage at Shook!,it's pretty tasty!and the Chinese place has pretty good Fried Kuay Teow, and each dish for the not so princely sum of RM3.60.nice!
After all the food, we decided to go karaoke!
woot!haven't done that in a while.SO lets go! honestly,I haven't been practicing my chinese songs, so was a little rusty there. However,I did rock a few rap verses, especially Knock You Down by Keri Hilson feat Kanye West and Ne-Yo.That was so awesome when I managed to pull off at least 80% of the rap bits!WooT!
First attempt at Eminem's verses on Love the Way you Lie kinda tanked though. That guy is just genius.
Long story short, sang enough to lose most of my voice by the end of the session (8-12.30am woots!)

Sunday rolls around, and it's time for futsal!
My illegal immigrant friend joined me for my usual round of futsal on the weekend.
We kicked ass:) Mainly coz he's pretty good and has lotsa stamina. So I just hung back and let him do all the attacking, mainly coz I have a bit of a broken toe-nail, so didn't feel like bombing around getting into needless challenges and end up hurting myself again.

Then off for dinner with my family and my unc and aunt who're visiting from New Zealand
Yay for seafood near the Tropicana City Mall area.Don't ask me where,I just followed my sis there.
The butter prawns and butter crab and pissing prawns are pretty good there.and the fried man tou is awesome when u dip it into the butter crab sauce!Sin in a bun!

After dinner,it's time to watch football!
Watched it with my illegal immigrant friend near his place. Chelsea V Arsenal.
Man,it's really like men vs boys sometimes.and what's the deal with The Drog always scoring against Arsenal? With a ridiculous backheel as well! go youtube that folks!
did catch the Barcelona game as well, and boy,did Pep take a gamble leaving out Xavi. With Messi et. al misfiring and pretty good fortune from..Mallorca I think (2 shots, 1 goal) they only got a draw out of their home game.

So Monday is upon me.......time to get to work.....

An electrical blackout when you're in the middle of a dump is challenging

Oh boy,wat a day.
when I get back home from having a yumcha session with my friends, all I want to do is sit down on the throne and have me a nice session together with some reading material (picked up a magazine from work)

as I am roughly near the tail end of my business, the neighbourhood experiences a blackout.
in an instant,my senses heightened,my instincts kick in.
The memories of my surroundings immediately begin to form in front of me as I frantically draw a picture in the pitch black darkness, where was the last known location of the toilet roll? what is in front of me?what position were my boxers in?where shall I toss the magazine so I wouldn't step on it and mess it up?
As these thoughts raced through my head,my instincts kicked in.
Calmly,I remembered the rough location of the toilet roll(about 30 cm to my right, sitting on the toilet roll dispenser)and began groping in the space void of light.
With the grace of an ice-skater,I roll an approximate length, using my mind's eye to visualize the length that will comfortably get the job done, with room for error, should there be any.
I subsequently apply the usage of the toilet paper with the utmost care and precision, making sure to utilize all my 25+ years of experience.
As my cousin aptly put,I am relying on muscle memory to carry out the job when my sight has been inhibited by the pitch black darkness.
Needless to say, with my 25+ years experience,no mishaps were encountered, and I safely maneuvered my boxers back on and washed my hands(also, using heightened senses and my minds eye to visualize where the tap and soap were the last time I used it)
Crisis averted.
Phew.

Here's what happened immediately after the ordeal (still no electricity)
I decided to post on facebook with my mobile phone, coz these things should be shared on one of the most popular social networking sites on the planet in an attempt to make oneself sound really funny and/or witty.

Yes,I have not so smart friends, and a helpful cousin.guess who's who.
Names have been erased for protection of identity and protection from being super-ridiculed by our other friends. But photo has been kept for a tasty clue
See,I'm a nice guy fr.....oopps, almost gave the name away.

Pretty Baby Bump! Ga Ga Goo Goo!

http://prettybabybump.blogspot.com/
How do I make the picture be the link?like, click the pic and you go to the blog?very tech un-savvy here peeps
I am very glad to introduce a blogshop that my friend Li-Yen setup with her sister, and I am pretty sure you guys can guess that it's got something to do with expecting mommies and probably the lil un' that pops out as well!
When I first heard she had this blog selling pregnancy and baby stuff I just had to blurt out, "ARE YOU PREGNANT?>????????" This happens when you have lightning quick reflexes, and you can type way faster before your friend can explain themselves.Practice helps.Go try

Anyhow, back to the blog, yes indeed it does sell a range of maternity stuff and baby's clothes that are quite darn cute I must say.
I am glad that I have a friend endeavoring in the maternity/baby business. This way,in 10 yrs time,I have an expert to refer to when Google can't give me an answer!

I've had a quick browse through the website, and they have some amazing stuff that I guess one would never know about unless they have kids.
for instance:
Breastmilk storage bags all the way from Korea! Kamshamida THAT!
http://prettybabybump.blogspot.com/2010/09/breastmilk-storage-bags.html

Ok,I think you shouldn't take any statements I make here seriously.I am probably the last person on earth to be consulted on stuff like this,as I right now,I find these items quite amusing (I am childish that way)
Breast Shields anyone?mebbe I should get some for my colleague who has "man boobs" (LOL,you know who you are)

So,why don't you check it out if you're a mom/dad to be, already have a lil' tyke, a friend of those people mentioned there and you don't know what to get the small terror, or you like collecting baby clothes or maternity items (mebbe you should Google "Psychiatric Help" as well if you're the latter.Just a suggestion)

Believe it or not,I am option 3 ( a friend of ppl who've got small ones) and I think I should get them something...maybe later:)

Champs league Group Stages- dissapointing

I guess this year's champs league isn't gonna be offering much in terms of entertainment value. It seems underwhelming for me, and believe me,I have stayed up in the wee hours o' the morn on many a weekday night (during secondary school, college, and even work) just to catch some football action.

When the 2nd week of ties is the likes of this(live on espn and star sports):
Spartak Moscow V Zilina
Chelsea v Marseille
Arsenal v Partizan Belgrade

kinda makes me wanna just skip it.No disrespect to Zilina, Marseille, or Partizan(or Spartak as well),who I'm sure will manage to make quite a few headlines when I read Soccernet in the morning.
However, this year the matchups seem a little undercharged, and so far from what I've seen (Man U Rangers, Ajax Real) there seems to be less pizazz to the matches.I guess it'll be up to the refs to generate at least a few column inches rather than the performances of teams themselves
I suppose this boils down partly to all the money-spinning the Champions League can offer to the so called "lesser teams".It's all well and good if you're Real Madrid or Man U with very healthy support from the world over(and in Real's case, perhaps the municipal as well?$400mil++ for your old training ground?good piece of business for real)

The pick of the bunch I thought woulda been aired would be Real v Auxerre in the so-called group of death(that also includes Milan and Ajax.Past powers of european and domestic football.Yes,PAST)
Anyhow, sadly, the only champion in this group of death is...none?Lets not get into debate on this.

Seeing that most of the big guns have avoided each other in the group phases, perhaps this will set up more mouth watering ties in the latter stages (like,Barcelona V Milan.Welcome Home Ibra etc etc)

Can't wait for that to happen while I endure the group stages(well,at least the next 2 rounds serve up Real V Milan)TASSTTYYYY! That,I can stay up for:)

Being sick sucks

Well,
I have been sick the past few days, with an inkling of a sore throat on Monday the prelude of what would be a nasty fever, followed by sore throat and ultimately with a combination of work and sickness, has put quite a strain on me the last few days.Phew
The last couple of days, I have been having a bit of cough to go with the lovely fever and sore throat, with a copious amount of phlegm being expended in the process.
I have a half broken toe-nail from futsal a couple of weeks ago(ouchies)
But I am not dead yet:)

I actually had a grand plan for my Sunday
Wake up,get a hair cut, go to the gym and sweat a bit.Come back and watch Transformers 2-Revenge of the Fallen on my 23 inch Samsung Monitor (yeaps,be jealous ya'll with your puny monitors.blekkkk)

Well,I at least got the haircut.skipped the gym coz i feel a little fatigued (this is coz I stayed up to watch the Real Madrid game.Sadly,Mourinho hasn't been doing a good job on Cristiano Ronaldo. That guy thinks he can win games on his own.Didn't see him try too many passes to anyone but Row Z of the Levante Stadium)

Anyhow, we'll see how it goes tomorrow, coz as of now I am still coughing sporadically and even bounding up the stairs already tercungap-cungap.how to treadmill like this?
Even worse, lets say I'm carrying a pair of dumbbells over my head, and suddenly start coughing, lord help me if they fall on my face(i can prevent it by carrying light weights,like,2.5 kg's.but, not much of a workout there right?)

Anyways
In fact,I am quite enjoying the challenges that are ahead of me in work and getting my health back up to speed.

Here's something a friend of mine(can't remember who) shared a while ago and is nice and inspiring when you're feeling down(well,at least it got me pumped up.But i'm a sucker for inspirational words)

Kinda like how I'm feeling right now. Taking charge of my life.

Love The Way You Lie - MASHUP - and punchable faces

I gotta say,i came across this mashup by Sam Tsui and Kurt Schneider and I really gotta give it 10 outta 10 for a great mashup job.it is now going to be my ringtone.once i hook up my phone to my pc
yeah,pc don't have bluetooth only coz i didn't/haven't put it in.

too bad about the face
really feel like punching him.
on the KJBA  (Kicking Justin Bieber's Ass) index, watching the video for the facial expressions ranks as TCTKJBA (This Close To Kicking JB's Ass), which is a pretty high ranking.

luckily,he is somewhat saved with a pretty good voice, and the production skills of Sam and Kurt (the mixing at the end is done quite nicely indeed)

else, somebody gonna get a big hurt around here.

Not to rain on his parade or shoot him down coz I probably only have about a hair's width of his talent, but you really gotta check out his other vids, especially the one where he auditions for the Glee Cast(did he get it?I'm not sure.I'm guessing he didn't)
In there,he's up to his TCTKJBA facial expressions and if I was the Glee casting director...
I'd say,lotsa talent son,but guess you're trying tooo hard.
better leave the acting to the pros and stick with the mashups and stuff like that with ur buddy kurt.

Re-Boot

Yeaps,
I've had quite the hiatus from my blog, and have received a couple of complaints that I haven't updated in a while
The reason?
Lazy for one, and once you lose a bit of momentum,it's hard to gain back.
The reason for momentum loss?
3 awesome weeks of HOLIDAY in 1)Cape Town, South Africa, and 2)Buenos Aires, Argentina (and another place in Argentina called Iguazu National Falls)

you want pictures?
hmm,lets share a couple then
This here is the Table Mountain National Park. It's got an awesome view of Cape Town itself, and is very very lovely to walk around.you can access it via a 360 degrees rotating cable car that goes up quite fast(but smooth as well)

Here's another shot,of the other side of Table Mountain.lotsa rocks and sea to look at
The 3 wise owls, and me messing it up.It's daytime, and these barn owls are catchin some shuteye
This here is actually a rehab centre for injured and/or domesticated birds of prey(yeap, owls are birds of prey too)
This is Argentina,Iguazu, Bird Park. That's a toucan, and it's bloody cute!it's quite tame as well, and it allowed me to come near it so I could take this gorgeous picture.

This here is what we flew 2 hours on budget airfllight from Buenos Aires.Iguazu Waterfalls.Well, this is actually just 1 part of the many waterfalls that dominate the landscape of Iguazu National Park.
What's also interesting is that the river that makes the waterfalls is actually the border of Argentina and Brazil. So you can view the waterfalls from both sides! So yes,I got a bonus trip to Brazil as well(but just to see the falls, nothing else)
So there we have it folks.
some of the stuff that I have done while I was away for 3 weeks.
There's lots more pictures,but I doubt they'd fit.
Those of you lucky enough to be on facebook and are my friend will get to see a few more photos uploaded by my sister(tagging me as well) so you can enjoy yourselves there.Trust me,it's good photos.

Random acts of kindness and i'll be away for a while

Ya know,it's been a while since I last posted
I have been in awe of the new comp,so much so that i've spent lotsa time on it,without caring to post on this blog
I'm sorrry
I'm so sssoooorrry!

I am back, but not for long though as I prepare for my trip to South Africa and South America with my family

Today I have been the recipient of a random act of kindness, that although small, did make my day.
I was downstairs to grab a cup of coffee from the coin vending machine, but I was short 10 cents when I yelled over at my colleague who was sitting on the pile of application forms, waiting for the transport to come and pick it up.
However,he didn't have 10 cents, and after a bit of rummaging in my pockets,it was futile as well.
So I was resigned to buying a cup of coffee, hot, not my preference when there's ice nescafe just begging to be had from the vending machine.
And then, this chap who was sitting near the machine just piped up and said "hey, you need 10 cents right?here you go!"
and taddaaaa!
I get my nescafe ice,in a cup, instead of just plain ol hot nescafe.
thank you kind stranger for the little acts of kindness that keeps my faith in the goodness of mankind

thank you stranger!

HOUSE IS BROKEN INTO!

The day my mom called me to tell me the house got broken into and stuff got stolen, I was working on a saturday at the friggin Treats Fair. There's just too many people at the fair, and when you're on the end of endless customer queries and requests, that just doesn't help at all.

My first thought was,"damn,my saved games.especially my pokemon games" Yeah,I still play my pokemon.gotta catch em all I say.

Then,I embarrassingly admit my second thought.
"I should post this update on facebook using my mobile phone.maybe like this "house got broken into!laptop stolen!damn!"
Luckily,I didn't execute that.

However,my third thought brought me a little bit of sadness.
The loss of my intellectual property
You heard right.Intellectual property. My thoughts for and a whole nice beginning paragraph to begin my epic story of love, betrayal, conspiracy of the highest order and more love.Yeah, love is the theme to billion dollar goodness(think harry potter,twilight).*music...I wanna be a billionaire,so freakin baddd*

Ah well,no biggie.
I still remember bits and pieces, especially my heroine and hero's names and a few other main characters.
So I shall type it all in cyberspace,by composing in gmail and never sending it out till it's complete.
This way,if any laptop gets stolen etc,I'd still have a copy till I'm done!

The laptop is the only thing that was lost from my room. They didn't even bother to search around. So,it really helps having a messy room. They didn't even take the 100 SGD I hid under a notebook on my drawers.haha!

Anyhow, now I begin my search for a good PC.I figure it'll be harder for the robbers to take away,if there are others. Jiok says I can get a damn good one for RM3k.Sweet!

BBQ and Quarter Finals

I haven't had a good barbecue in a while,so when my colleague invited the team over to her house for a good ol' barbecue,I pretty much said, "Yes please!"
Sausages, marshmallows, different kinds of mushrooms, fish, prawns, some funky japanese "muachi" and we were in for a very solid meal of unhealthy!think of all the carcinogens you can pile into your body!

But not before showing off our singing skills to each other at a good ol' karaoke session!
Contrary to popular belief,THIS banana can actually sneak in a few chinese songs (mandarin mostly) and wow most people.
However,I gotta admit my chinese songs are waay wayyy rusty,so I think I'll be spending some time re-memorizing the songs like Tong Hua, Wu Ding, some Jay Chou Stuff and Wang Lee Hom stuff as well
Not to mention learning up the chorus of Qian Li Zhi Wai (Go listen to it,or ask me for it,i'll send it to you.The Chorus Guy Fei Yu Qing has some really cool vocals going on for himself)
Time to download some old faves as well, like Wo Bu Nan Guo

So,a good karaoke session in the afternoon, followed by a kickass bbq, how else to round out the day with...THE WORLD CUP!

WOW
just WOW
I hate to sound like I'm re-posting what the entire world thinks right now,but dang, this World Cup has thrown up a BUTTLOAD of surprises!almost all those who have been tagged as favourites have been put in their place, some convincingly, and some not quite so convincingly.

Uruguay beat Ghana(tough to call, but on penalties and a "hand of God")
The Dutch finally proved their mettle in the latter stages, with a comeback win against Brazil nonetheless!

Today I watched the Germans KICK Argentina's butt the way they kicked England's,and you gotta be wondering even if this young German team do not make it all the way, they'll definitely be a force to be reckoned with come Euro 2012 and WC 2014.
To quote my cousin, "AHAHAHAHAH.It don't matter how much support a country has. Germany will Four-Goals that country!"
If u ask me,this match is summarized in just a few words.
Messi didn't turn up for this match.Period.
Over reliant on him?perhaps Argentina are,for they didn't really play as a team and hoped for lots of individual brilliance in this match.Sadly, the Germans are way too efficient and the tactics from nose-picker Loew were spot on to nullify the attacking threats of Argentina. Brace yourself for all the "don't cry for me argentina" gags that are bound to come up in cyberspace.

I also stayed up to watch a pulsating match between Spain and Paraguay. Now this was a match well worth watching for the masterclass from xavi and iniesta, as well as some real good grit and teamwork from Paraguay

A tale of 2 penalties, both saved. But the 1st one was the turning point, and Cardozo stepped up, and Casillas saved Spain yet again.
Spain got themselves a penalty almost immediately after, and Xabi Alonso stepped up, and buried it!
But what?Oh?no! The ref has blown his whistle!Xabi Alonso has to take it again as the ref has deemed there has been encroachment upon the penalty area while the spot kick was taken.
Here we go again, Xabi Alonso!Saved by Villar, and the rebound cleared off the line by the defender!
No biggie, coz Spain has David Villa in RED-HOT form.
After some Xavi-Iniesta magic and perfect timing from Pedro who hits the post, Villa was on hand to ping-pong the rebound against both posts before the ball nestles into the corner.
Cue SIESSSTAAAAA!!!(i hope that means party in Spanish,or is it the resting period?)

I love it when a plan comes together

There are only a few words that I can begin this post with

Dum. dum. dumm.., da da dummmmm
(that's the A-Team theme song btw)

The A-Team is just so many levels of awesome,I just had to go "DAMN this is awesome! at the end of the movie.
If Transformers was the breakthrough movie of 2007, Avatar of 2009, The A-Team is taking the cake for 2010 for me
I'd even have to rate it higher than Transformers!

(Ten years ago / In 1972), a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The A-Team.

The 2010 movie poster.
Dripping with action movie goodness.

Gotta say,a pretty good opening sequence, explaining how the team gets together in Mexico.
With Hannibal getting beaten up by Mexican Police, B.A grabbing his Van,Face in a bathrobe stuck in a ring of tires, and Murdock treating B.A. and going crazy on a medical Helicopter
To quote Hannibal "There is no coincidence, only a plan"

This movie is great fun with some crazy stunts, quotable quotes, and of course, the good ol' humour that just tops it all off into a good wholesome package.

If you go to the Wiki page,it has a pretty good summary of the stuff they blow up and the crime they didn't commit, and their path to clear their name.

The class of 80's and the class of 10's. Gotta say that 2010 got it right with the cast and they delivered big time.
I just love it when a plan comes together

However, just a teensy bit disappointed that B.A. didn't deliver a "I pity the fool" line
Also,is it me or does the Faceman of the 80's look a bit like Steve Carell?

Please go to http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/The_A_Team and grab some quotable quotes from there.I know I will

These guys specialize in the RIDICULOUS!
What's an action movie without some eye candy to go with it?
Jessica Biel delivers in spades with her performance as the hard-as-nails-but-dayamn-is-she-hot Captain Sosa
She is definitely my first pick to be Wonder Woman since she oozes sexy and strong.
Hope that role doesn't go to just another eye candy girl (read Megan Fox)

All in all,if you love a good action comedy flick with witty 1 liners and some great eye candy to boot
THIS IS IT (god bless Michael Jackson, the King of Pop)

World Cup madness

Welp,upsets
That's why I love this Game
Sorry Italy, out you go for relying on old folks who aren't quite up to it

Toy Story 3-Super mega must watch!

If you ask me,they've outdone themselves again.
The Disney/Pixar 1-2 combo delivers hilarity pretty much throughout the entire duration of the movie, save for the ending, where there's a bit of a tearjerker/heartstring strumming where someone grows too old for toys, but is still attached to em'. Did I give the plot away? mebbeee....

This time around, the adventures involve most of the toys and less of the Woody/Buzz you've got a friend in me camraderie, which is probably a good thing, since it allows more screen time for some much loved favourites like the Potatoes.

Aaaaand, there's a whole host of new toys to play with!
Yay!

Anyhow, lets tell a Toy Story with pictures from the Trilogy!(yes,it can now be dubbed a trilogy!)

World Cup coverage continued

Like,woah
More upsets!
And as I speak,USA is 2-0 down to Slovenia
this world cup is getting better and better!

France eating some spicy Mexican salsa
Germany going from smacking Ozzies 4-0 to losing 1-0(albeit,with 10 men.but a loss is a loss)

Too bad the hosts South Africa got served some by the Uruguayans. It would've been great for the hosts to at least still be in the mix for the last game of the group. Then it'll be real blood sweat and tears

However, the Argies are still on course for smacking everyone in front of them, but this World Cup is still so early to predict.

Man,
I love this game

How do you say day 6 in uh..Swiss?

So Chile Beat Honduras
but THE big story
I knew there was a sign when I had Tapas for dinner today.
I really Pwned that Tapas so fast that they couldn't even say Uno Dos Tres

Every world cup has got to have an upset
Brazil,nervy winners against North Korea
England edgy drawers against USA
Italians held by the Paraguayans
only 1-0 for the Argentinians
No probs for Germany who've shown the roos that it's not all bout physicality

But the big-ass story so far
The Swiss Army Knife has finally used it's blades to rip open the Spanish Armada a new one
18 matches,Swiss Cheese ain't no match for Spanish Tapas
Come 2010 World Cup Group H opening match with the Spanish HEAVILY favoured

lets just use pics to do the talking

Different Camera Angles!but still pwned! (Getty Images)

Here's a pic that will still say..PWNED! (Either Getty or AP, I forget)

Will the South African team give cheer to their country?
hell yeah when you got balala la bamba on your team!

Day 5,Proud to be Kiwi

For those of you who don't know,I am actually half Kiwi!
and I gotta say, even though I didn't watch the All-Whites battle it out with Slovakia, to be great underdogs and coming back from a goal down to hold a more fancied side

The last time I went to New Zealand was when I was 14,and my family and I celebrated New Year's there,in a port town called Kawhia (pronounced Ka-Fia) where my cousin stays with her family.
Kawhia is awesome, where you can cast a net and pick up some fish, and also go to the buoys and pick up some fresh mussels!(which I don't eat,but my cousins and 2nd cousins do.They ate some raw,by prying it open, adding a lil lemon juice and pop it in your mouth!Ugh....raw food.I'm no fan of raw food.More of that when we go through this blog)

Backtracking a little, when I was on the plane about to land in New Zealand,we zoomed over quite a fair bit of farmland, which were littered with lots of "maggots". These are of course, sheep grazing on the hills. But it was quite a sight. And I hear that there are more cows in New Zealand than people,so if there's ever a Planet of the Cows sort of evolutionary takeover, you betcha ass it's gonna be New Zealand that is the epicenter.

New Zealand is also seen as the place to do extreme sports.Sky Diving,Slingshotting, Para gliding, etc, NZ is the place to get it all. I think there's a place in Queensland(if i'm not mistaken) that has quite alot of these things.Me and my sis had ourselves a great time riding the carts on some real extreme downhill courses. However,we didn't have the guts to go assisted-para gliding.
Yeah, that's why we're half Malaysian.still sensible enough to balance out the whacked out Kiwi in us.

Anyways, enough about NZ travels, here's some World Cup stuff!

Get booked for taking of your shirt? Well worth it if you've just scored the equalizer at the FRICKIN WORLD CUP!Congratulations All-Whites! (Winston Reid ladies and gents) courtesy of Getty Images

The days' other match. 0-0 Portugal V Ivory Coast.
Kinda another bore-draw at the World Cup.But in the Group of Death, you'd expect cautious approaches.
Yaya Toure: I'mma kick the ball so hard like dis!
Ronaldo: Yeah?Well I'mma kick the ball HARDER and make a funny face like DIS! WACHHHAAA!

*signing off coz I ain't catching the Brazil match.
Hope they score a few nice goals.
Sorry Korean republic, but you have a monumental task.
I wish you good luck!

World Cup,Day 3 and 4

Slovenia vs Algeria - 1-0
Someone played in between
Germany played and kicked Australia's ass (sorry ozzies) 4 frickin nil
(didn't Germany kick someone's ass 4-0 on opening day at the last world cup as well?)

damn, blogging bout the frickin matches ain't at all easy at all.
I guess the first 2 games are forgetful,so I ain't bothered about them

But man,the Germany Australia game was great fun to watch.Glad I stayed up to watch it,though it did exhaust me a tad on Monday Blues back-to-work mode.

I did manage to get through the day unscathed though, and quickly cleared up my stuff to go home early to watch the dutch-denmark game (double d game...*snigger*)
I was really looking forward to some Total Football, but alas, the first 20 mins was kinda well, in the wise words of Jorge Valdano, it's a shit on a stick.
Since I was exhausted from the German Ozzie game,I pretty much fell asleep only to awake the next morning.Bleh
So I missed the rest of the match, and the jap cameroon one as well!!
sonofa!

Anyhow, the dutch beat denmark courtesy of some REALLLY good luck (and poor defending for the first)
Pinball heading defending for the first own goal of the tournament, and then Dirk Kuyt being in the right place at the right time to stab home the "off-the-post" rebound from Ryan Babel.

Japs beat the Ozzies 1-0,which at least gave corporate Japan something else to think about other than being fat (check the link below!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1hqHo6lyUU

The Italians boredrawed their way with Paraguay

Welp, that's it for day 4 that I didn't catch much of
Next post!

World Cup,day 2

Day 2
Korea V Greece - 2-0 Win!
Argentina V Nigeria - 1-0 Win!
England V USA - 1-1 ...draw.......

I didn't watch the 2nd half of the France Uruguay Match.
Thank God I didn't wake myself up for that after I checked the scores online
Nil frickin Nil-What a snoozefest!
The first half was a real bore to begin with, can't comment much coz I pretty much was half asleep most of the time.

Aaanyways,I wake up in the afternoon to the call of me college friend Mr. Putt putt(nickname)
Why he call?Well,we're going to Sepang Gold Coast today to hang out and have some food!
Sepang Gold Coast is actually a beach, and yes, there is another beach in KL/Selangor that is not named Port Dickson!
Now this place is like the middle of nowhere, and we went through quite a few kampungs and small towns, small roads, past LOTSA Sime Darby land (guess what they plant there!)
We even passed a cemetary...spooky...
So we arrived at the beach, and they actually have a cool looking resort with chalets on the sea(like Legend Water Homes) but it's way further out than LWH. I gotta see if my travel agent friend has got some deals on the chalet furthest out there.

Aanyways, here's some pics I stole from Soccernet, courtesy of GettyImages

Winner!

f!@#*!@#&^*ggg NOOOOB!

Talking World Cup,What Else

Get a load of World Cup Coverage freshly peeled from the perspective of Everyone's Favourite Banana!

First Match
South Africa (Hosts) vs Mexico (lacking midfielders, apparently)

I gotta say, learning the names of the SA players was quite cool, and their Goalscorer,Tshabalala, reminds me very much of...

Balalala la bamba!balalala la bamba!
Tshabalala, not doing the La Bamba.(picture courtesy of Omar Torres/Getty Images)

However, his celebration was definately rehearsed with his teammates when they gathered near the corner flag:
Tshabalala: Hey my good chaps. If I score, let us mimic a bus driver eh?
Teammates: Which way do we turn the wheel?
Tshabalala:I think we make a right turn. RIGHT TURN GEDDIT?
Teammates:AWWWRIIIGHHTTT DAWWWWGGG!
*whole team chortles
*Pareirra not amused
*note, this is purely assumption, but I may not be far off.

In short,Mexico started brightly, both slightly tepid in the middle. However it picked up and the game started to open up as defences got sloppy and a 1 goal apiece was conceded.Fair enough for both teams I'd say,and SA coulda even won it in the end!

Backtracking a little,
Actually, when I went to Great Eastern to get me a bag of chips,I struck up a conversation with the guy waiting for his stuff to be tallied in front of me.He's from Turkey, and says he'll just watch it for fun.

The amazing thing was,I told him it'd be a draw(It turned out to be true!)and now I bet he's at home thinking,"Damn,I shoulda listened to the chinese guy.He sure knows a thing or 2 about football!"

Anyhow,it's time for France V Uruguay!
Lets hope for a kickass time!

Only in New York,I think

I'm Also a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Cookie-dough

Thin girl #1, in front of ice cream fridge: Oh no, I shouldn't get any. I'm fat enough already.
Thin girl #2: Bitch, do not say stupid shit like that. You look fine.
Thin girl #1: No, you don't get it! I only look skinny. I have no muscle definition at all, it's all fat. I'm marbled. It's a trick.
Thin girl #2: So you're like... A stealth fatty?
Thin girl #1: I'm a chub ninja. I walk amongst skinny people undetected.

Baconnaise!

I know I like bacon,I know you like bacon,I know you know I know you and I like bacon
I know I like mayo,I know you like mayo,I know you know I know you and I like mayo

What better way to enjoy the best of BOTH worlds than with BACONNAISE!(The name is so simple, yet so majestic)
The genius who thought this up deserves the Nobel Peace prize, for I can forsee people rejoicing in the streets, hugging each other and forgetting all hate and all selfishness, for there is now bacon and mayo in spreadable goodness.
The people celebrate

Baconnaise has just replaced the dog as man's best friend.

Just imagine,you can put it in sandwiches,on bacon,on eggs,on toast,on burgers,on fries...the list is endless

http://www.incrediblethings.com/home/baconnaise/

And one more for good measure:
Even lambs are frolicking for Baconnaise (coz they don't know better.I'm sure lamb chops and Baconnaise tastes real good)
